What are we Doing?

The global crisis was highlighted in the World Health Organization consultation report Obesity - Preventing and Managing the Global Epidemic, produced with the help of the IOTF. We continue to work alongside WHO to tackle the issue.

The task force is now working to convince world leaders that something can be done to address the problem.

It has key groups of experts looking at:

• Prevention - halting the drift from overweight into obesity
  
• Childhood obesity - assessing the problem and suggest in solutions
  
• Management - developing better guidelines to deal with weight
  
• Economic costs - assessing the financial burden of obesity
